Camp Chimaqua

Description

Camp Chimaqua is an overnight weekend camp, held Friday, May 16 – Sunday, May 18, for grieving children ages 6-12. The focus is on helping children explore their feelings, develop coping skills and build self-confidence through fun-filled activities and small- and large-group sharing. A trained adult buddy is paired with each child for companionship, support and supervision throughout the weekend. Thanks to community support, the cost to attend Camp Chimaqua is only $25 per child. Financial assistance is available. Call the Pathways Center at (717) 391-2413 or (888) 282-2177 to obtain more information or to request an application packet. Applications must be received by April 18, 2025. Children meet with a counselor to determine if camp best meets their needs. Space is limited.
